About Cross Country Driver

Cross Country Driver is a service of OnPoint Associates, LLC, based in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, and owned and run by its founder since 2013. In that time we have sent professional drivers to pick up customers’ cars and rental trucks and drive them to new homes, winter homes, college campuses and military bases across the lower 48 states and Alaska: more than a thousand trips. We have never had an accident.

How we started

The business began with a simple observation: people who needed a car moved across the country had two bad choices, a carrier with a one-to-three-week window from pickup to delivery or about 4 days of their own time. The alternative was obvious and nobody was doing it well: a trustworthy professional who drives the car and hands you the keys. The owner recruited ex-long-haul truckers and former police officers, built a vetting process, and has been refining the service since. Meet the drivers.

Who runs it

The owner runs Cross Country Driver and prices every trip personally. There is no call center and no software quote: the person who answers your request is the person responsible for your car. See how it works.

How we work

  • Every quote is priced personally by the owner and answered within one business day. See what trips cost.
  • Our drivers are mostly ex-long-haul truckers and former police officers, and each has passed criminal, driving-record, drug and reference checks.
  • Every trip is GPS-monitored by our office, photographed at pickup and delivery, and covered by premium AAA roadside assistance.
  • Every price is a base rate per mile with fuel and tolls at actual cost, receipts included.

What we do and don’t do

We drive cars, SUVs, pickups, vans and rental moving trucks up to 26 feet, with a vehicle in tow if needed, anywhere in the contiguous United States and Alaska. Read about our driveaway service. We do not drive RVs, motorhomes or motorcycles, we do not carry passengers, and we do not serve Hawaii.
